How to Switch Between Clubs
If your family participates in multiple sports clubs or organizations that use Rostered, you can easily switch between them within the same app. This guide shows you how to navigate between clubs and manage multiple memberships.
Understanding Multiple Club Memberships
When you're invited to multiple clubs, you'll have access to:
- Separate schedules for each club's athletes
- Different teams and coaching staff for each organization
- Club-specific messages and communications
- Distinct settings and preferences per club
Your account information (name, email, profile photo) remains the same across all clubs, but each club manages its own athlete rosters and family connections.
Switching Clubs in the App
Using the Club Selector
- Open the Rostered app and log in
- Look for the club name or club selector at the top of the screen
- Tap on the current club name to see all available clubs
- Select the club you want to view from the dropdown list
- The app will switch to show that club's athletes, schedules, and information
Quick Club Navigation
Once you've switched clubs, all app sections will reflect the selected club:
- Family tab: Shows athletes from the selected club only
- Schedule: Displays events for the current club's athletes
- Teams: Lists teams within the selected club
- Messages: Shows communications from the selected club's coaches and staff
Managing Athletes Across Multiple Clubs
When Athletes Play for Different Clubs
If you have children in different clubs:
- Switch to Club A to see Child 1's schedule and teams
- Switch to Club B to see Child 2's schedule and teams
- Use your phone's calendar subscription feature to combine schedules (see subscribe to calendars guide)
When the Same Athlete Plays for Multiple Clubs
If one child participates in multiple clubs (e.g., school team + club team):
- You'll see the athlete listed separately in each club
- Switch between clubs to view different schedules, teams, and communications
- RSVP and communication preferences are managed separately for each club
- Calendar subscriptions can be set up for each club to see all events in your phone's calendar
Setting Preferences Per Club
Your notification and communication preferences can be different for each club:
Notification Settings
- Switch to the desired club using the club selector
- Go to Settings → Notification Preferences
- Adjust settings for this club specifically
- Repeat for other clubs if you want different notification preferences
Calendar Subscriptions
- You can subscribe to calendars from multiple clubs
- Each subscription will be separate in your phone's calendar app
- Consider using different calendar colors for each club to distinguish events
Troubleshooting Club Switching
Can't See Expected Clubs
If you're missing a club you should have access to:
- Check your invitations: Look for invitation emails from other clubs you may not have accepted yet
- Verify email address: Ensure you're using the same email address across all club invitations
- Contact administrators: Reach out to each club's administrators to verify your family is properly connected
- Check account merge: If you accidentally created multiple accounts, contact support to merge them
Wrong Athletes Showing in Clubs
If you see incorrect athletes when switching clubs:
- Verify club selection: Make sure you're viewing the correct club using the club selector
- Check family connections: Contact the club administrator to verify your family connections are set up correctly
- Athlete names: Athletes may be listed differently in each club (nickname vs. full name)
Missing Schedule Events
If events aren't appearing when you switch clubs:
- Pull down to refresh the schedule after switching clubs
- Check date range: Make sure you're viewing the correct time period
- Verify team membership: Confirm your athlete is registered for active teams in that club
- Season status: Check if the current season is active for that club
Communication Across Multiple Clubs
Receiving Messages from Different Clubs
- Each club's messages appear only when you're viewing that specific club
- Push notifications will specify which club the message is from
- Email communications will come from each club's designated sending address
Contacting Coaches and Staff
- Switch to the appropriate club first
- Navigate to the team or athlete you want to ask about
- Use the contact information displayed for that specific club
- Remember that coaches from Club A cannot see information about your child's participation in Club B
Best Practices for Multiple Clubs
Staying Organized
- Use calendar subscriptions to see all events in one place on your phone
- Set distinct notification preferences based on each club's communication style
- Keep club information separate - don't share information between clubs unless appropriate
- Check both clubs regularly - switching clubs is required to see updates from each organization
Managing Conflicts
When events from different clubs conflict:
- RSVP appropriately for each club's events
- Communicate early with coaches about potential scheduling conflicts
- Use "Maybe" responses when you're unsure about availability due to other commitments
- Be transparent about multi-club participation if asked
Getting Help with Multiple Clubs
If you're having trouble managing multiple club memberships:
- Document the issue: Note which clubs are affected and what specific problems you're experiencing
- Include account details: Provide your email address and the names of all clubs you should have access to
- Contact support: Email support@rostered.app with the above information
- Club-specific issues: For problems with athlete connections or team assignments, contact the individual club administrators first
