Understanding Delivery

Who Receives the Message?

Push notifications are sent to guardians who:

  • Are linked to athletes on your team roster
  • Have the Rostered app installed
  • Have push notifications enabled in their device settings
  • Haven't opted out of push notifications in the app

Delivery Stats

After sending, you'll see a success message showing:

  • Sent - Number of notifications successfully delivered
  • Failed - Number that couldn't be delivered (usually due to disabled notifications)

Tips for Effective Team Messages

  • Keep it brief - Push notifications work best when they're short and to the point
  • Include key details - Date, time, and location changes should be clear
  • Use for time-sensitive info - Push notifications are ideal for last-minute updates
  • Be mindful of timing - Avoid sending late at night unless it's urgent

To see previously sent messages:

  1. From the team details screen, tap Messages in the Details section
  2. You'll see a list of all push notifications sent to this team
